Duke coach no fan of Obama's brackets

Former Duke basketball player Reggie Love is on President Obama’s staff, but he couldn't sway his bracket.

Obama picked North Carolina to win the national title in his bracket for ESPN, with Duke losing in the East Regional final.

"Somebody said we're not in President Obama’s Final Four," Krzyzewski said Wednesday. "As much as I respect what he's done, really, the economy is something he should focus on, probably more than the brackets."

Said Duke forward Kyle Singler: "I have Duke winning in mine." -- Ken Tysiac

-- UPDATE: Coach K says he was only kidding; Obama says he understands

Our President shouldn't presume to be a regular guy on any level and fill out a bracket, but K is qualified to determine what the President should be focusing on. Of course he is. What a whiny tool...

Boo hoo hoo! He's just upset that Duke wasn't picked. It doesn't matter since the President doesn't pick the winner anyway. I do wonder though how man expletives deleted the Duke coach screamed. What a baby! He's always been this way. I feel sorry for him. Have some Mama's milk and go to sleep.

So many Obama worshippers that can't listen to the message. With all he has to worry, what did that public display cost US Citizens for a meaningless opinion. I'm no Coach K fan, but he just pointed out the most obvious, never said that he was wrong about his choice. You Sweet Homey Obamas will see the light soon.

I thought the object was to pick who you think will win. That being said, for once I agree with the president on his choice.

Were the Obama haters this angry when Bush took the time out of his busy schedule of running the country into the ground to pick the winner of the super bowl? Did anyone complain when he took the time to watch the super bowl which takes longer than filling out a bracket? Would you be complaining if Mccain was president and he filled out one? Didnt think so.

You guys can't see the forest for the trees. His comments had no ill will towards Obama. Leave it up to Disturber to leave out the entire story. For real journalism, see this link on the story. Coach K obviously said it tounge and cheek followed by a little laugh. Carolina fans, get your head out of your butt and stop blaming the world's problems on Coach K.

The tarholes are just jealous that they do not have a former player on the BO team.

K coaches a game for a living. I guess he's qualified to know what a president should do.

i think he was being sarcastic, something heels fans couldn't get unless roy used dadddd gummmit before his line...

Maybe Coach K is just confused about the fact that we now have a President who not only can walk and chew gum at the same time, but reads the papers and stays up on current events.

Poor Dook, will not make it past Villanova and UNC will be again in the Final 4...
Take it like a man K and quit your whinning...

I agree with K. While Obama's filling out brackets and yucking it up on The Tonight Show amid a depression, K is doing his job.

Two things:

1) If you don't think a President can multi-task, you're sadly mistaken. He's doing what we all should be doing, working on the economy and living life. Heck, even John McCain fills out a bracket! http://tinyurl.com/cwrdrb

2) Why is it that no commenters ever leave a name with their posts? If you're opinion is strong enough to leave it, you should be put your name by it.

A comment from Ole Roy that was in the Herald Sun, but somehow ommited by the Disturber.

"'UNC coach Roy Williams made a similar statement Thursday afternoon after his Tar Heels dispatched of Radford 101-58.

"I think it's great that he's a sports fan and goes through the bracket and the whole bit like that," Williams said. "But frankly, he's got some more important things to worry about than the NCAA Tournament.'"

Don't believe it??: http://heraldsun.southernheadlines.com/sports/18-1126288.cfm?

Carolina fans are quick to bash K when he says something in jest. Let's see how they react when Ole Roy says the same thing.

Carolina fans once again showing what little class they have.
