Wall, 4 UK teammates entering draft

LEXINGTON, Ky. -- Freshman All-Americans John Wall and DeMarcus Cousins are among five Kentucky players who have declared for the NBA draft.

Junior forward Patrick Patterson, freshman guard Eric Bledsoe and freshman center Daniel Orton are also entering the draft.

Wall and Cousin are expected to be among the first few players selected.

The five player comprised the core of a team that went 35-3 this season and won the Southeastern Conference regular season and conference tournament titles before falling to West Virginia in the regional finals of the NCAA Tournament.

Coach John Calipari said he met with each player individually and encouraged them to gauge their draft prospects.

Players have until May 8 to change their minds.

So are these 5 players going to finish classes this spring? You know, they are in COLLEGE! What a joke. Calipari will have UK on probation asap. Where is the NCAA? Oh, just like at UNC-CH, they look the other way. All about $$$.

@ANON @ 7:26AM .... SORRY ITS NOT LIKE UNC-CH WE DONT LIKE ONE AND DONES. THATS AND ITS A RARE SITUATION WHERE YOU SEE SOMEONE COME TO CAROLINA AND DO THAT.. LAST PERSON WAS IN 05 WITH MARVIN WILLIAMS. ITS NOT ALL ABOUT THE MONEY. BECAUSE IF YOU LOOK BACK MOST IF NOT ALL UNC PLAYERS WHO WENT TO THE NBA, ALL WENT BACK TO GET THEIR DEGREE. STACKHOUSE AND CARTER DID GRADUATED AT THE SAME TIME.

"STACKHOUSE AND CARTER DID GRADUATED AT THE SAME TIME."

So are you also a proud UNC-CH graduate?

I'm not a UNC-CH grad but the Heels do graduate all most all of their players. Some do come back and get degrees. Remember Valvano at State? No one graduated in his last four years.

Hell, 7:26, they haven't been going to classes since December. No need with only one eligibility check.
