Duke junior forward Kyle Singler smiled Friday afternoon when asked about reports that the New Jersey Nets will target Blue Devils coach Mike Krzyzewski for their coaching job.
"I just saw it on ESPN," Singler said during a Duke media availability Friday. "But he's not leaving."
Krzyzewski, 63, said last June that he plans to spend the remainder of his coaching career at Duke. But Internet reports on yahoo.com and northjersey.com citing anonymous sources Friday said the Nets will try to persuade Krzyzewski to coach them.
Singler said Krzyzewski hasn't addressed the reports with the team.
"I'm actually not too worried about it," Singler said.

He has more fans in New Jersey than here in NC, so this makes sense.
If he turned down a huge offer from the Lakers in '04, I highly doubt any amount of money will lure him to Jersey. He coaches a college team that could probably beat the Nets right now
I thought he already coached New Jersey's professional team.
I don't understand the NJ comments ... and granted I'm not even close to being a die hard fan but I just looked at a roster of all duke players from the decade of 2000. I counted a total of 4 players w/ a hometown in NJ. Add 3 more if you want to count the fact that they played some HS ball in NJ at Blair Academy. Out of a total of 53 players! So can someone shed some light???
Duke has a large alumni presence in the NY/NJ area. That is the reason why they play a "home" game at MSG or the Meadowlands every year.
