Summitt, 59, plans to try to coach this season for the Volunteers. She has 1,071 career victories and eight national championships at Tennessee.
"There's not going to be any pity party and I'’ll make sure of that,"Summitt told the Knoxville News-Sentinel.

The irony of this cruel disease is it can be cured or prevented but Big pharma will not let it happen.

My mother in law died from this on 8/8. She had suffered for over 10 years.

Nope that is a band-aid I'm talking about a real cure. it prevents Amyloid from going into the brain. It works on mice and had incredible results even removing amyloid from the brain. here is a link and if you have someone in your life that has Alz. then they could talk to a cancer doctor show them this article and hope they would try this cure, but they would be going outside of the FDA rules so good luck.

wow I did not know about this at all, and to be honest, when you said "iagnosed with early onset dementia, Alzheimer's type" that sounds pretty serious, I hope he can come over it and get well soon
