Top recruit Harrison Barnes in action (See video)

Harrison Barnes says he can sense the push and pull, blue against blue, building like a rising tide.

Barnes is considered the best high school basketball player in the country. At 6-foot-8, the senior has the skills — the sweet perimeter touch, the ability to slash and finish, to rebound, his hops, ballhawking quickness, his instincts — that has made him something of a legend in his hometown of Ames, Iowa.

He and Kyrie Irving are going to Duke...

If that helps you sleep at night, dookie. It's a LOT closer than you'd ever care to admit.

But rest easy, he's all yours, right? You have every reason to be confident I suppose, since k has been kicking Roy's butt on the hardwood and recruiting trail ever since Roy came back to Carolina.

Oh, wait...

Not talking trash to anybody, but Duke is and has been his #1. Take it or leave it.

The kid wants to play a up and down style and there isn't any other style better than University of North Carolina. Duke can't even come close to UNC in basketball tradition no matter what Coach K puts out there.

Harrison Barnes would be a better fit for the North Carolina Tar Heels. Face the facts that the legends of the next level game in the NBA is no contest by far. Harrison Barnes has a chance to met his moms idle and his name in the middle represents that.

She tape every game so her son would be able to see him play in his prime and now has the opportunity to fulfill a dream and go to a school that his mother covet. Ponder Blue is what he should be wearing and no doubt he would fit best in the brotherhood of Tar Heel Basketball.

Irving will convince him to come to Duke. Best recruiting class in the country.

UNC fans, check your grammar before posting a comment. "She tape every game" and what's "Ponder" blue? Either way, both schools have an excellent basketball tradition. Roy has had recent success, but Coach K is as competitive as they come (which is an Army mentality) so getting the best recruits whether or not we land Harrison will get Duke back to where they need to be. If Duke does land Harrison Barnes, I'll be sure to let you [wine and cheese] fans wearing your "ponder" blue know.

I have seen footage of Barnes on several recruiting websites, and he seems like he is an All-American caliber player with a very bright future ahead of him.
